It took me some time (far more calendar time than actual development time), but the no-recruiters.com website is finally in public beta. It's a two-fold effort. First and foremost, the last time I went job-hunting, the usual suspects (monster, dice, careerbuilder) were absolutely flooded with recruiters posting the same jobs (some verbatim). Aside from the fact that it becomes difficult to discern whether you're applying for the same position as before, or something new, my previous experience with recruiters had been rather unpleasant. They (understandably) are more concerned with getting you placed "somewhere" as opposed to somewhere where you are a good fit. I have no VB experience. A recruiter made me drive an hour to an interview only to find out that it's for a senior VB position. LOOK. AT. MY. RESUME.

Anywho. The second aspect of this project is the technology aspect. I am trying out my own stab at a NVelocity-based MVC framework built on top of workflow. The idea is a REST-oriented development framework with MVC via true controllers and templating, and ORM via the worklow server functionality.

We'll see how it goes. In the meantime - have at it, just please - tell me when something doesn't work.
